This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using the website at www.emax.cloud, our support portal, and the software and managed IT services provided by EMAX Solutions Co Ltd (“EMAX”, “we”, “us”). It applies to everyone who uses these services, including our clients and their users (“you”). It should be read alongside your service agreement with us and our Data Collection Policy.

2What you must not do
You must not use our website, software or services to:
- break any applicable law or regulation, including data protection, copyright and consumer protection law;
- send spam, unsolicited marketing or bulk messages;
- publish or transmit material that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise harmful;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- distribute malware, viruses or any other harmful code;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, networks, accounts or other customers’ data;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems without our prior written permission;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website, software or services, or the experience of other users;

3Accounts and login details
Keep your usernames, passwords and multi-factor authentication details secure and confidential. Tell us straight away if you believe your account has been compromised. Passwords must be unique and must not be shared between users. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe an account is at risk.
4Security responsibilities
We take security seriously and work to ISO 27001 principles. You also play a part by keeping your devices and software up to date, using the security features we recommend (such as multi-factor authentication), and reporting suspicious emails, links or activity promptly.
5Personal data
Where you use our services to process personal data, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis for doing so and that your users and customers are informed, as required by the GDPR. Please do not send us sensitive personal data through the website contact form or support tickets unless we have agreed to receive it securely.
6Content you provide
You are responsible for the content and data you upload, enter or send to us. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide it to us. Our software and services must not be used to store or process illegal content.
7Support and remote access
When you request support, you agree that our staff may access your systems, devices or data as needed to resolve the issue, only with your consent and for that purpose. Remote sessions are limited to the agreed scope. You should keep a backup of important data before any change is made.
8Our monitoring
To keep our services secure and reliable, we may monitor the use of our website, systems and networks, including logging access and detecting unusual activity. We do this in line with our Data Collection Policy and applicable law.
9Breaches of this policy
If we reasonably believe you have breached this policy, we may:
- ask you to stop the activity and remove any offending content;
- suspend or restrict your access to our website, portal or services, temporarily or permanently;
- report the matter to the relevant authorities where required by law.
Where a breach is serious or repeated, we may also terminate our agreement with you in line with its terms.
10Reporting concerns
If you become aware of misuse of our website or services, or a security issue, please report it to us at info@emax.mt as soon as possible.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
